Job Summary
- This position is at our Western Midstream Wattenberg Gas Plant. The selected candidate will be a member of the Midstream Plant Organization Operations Team. Position will be located near Aurora, Colorado.
- Candidate will be a Plant Foreman working with maintenance, construction, engineering, field operations, instrumentation technicians, electricians, and mechanics to optimize asset value.
- Candidate will collaborate with Midstream, HSSE, Engineering, Regulatory, Supply Chain and other support groups to ensure operations compliance.
Qualifications
- Must possess a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, and a working knowledge of gas processing facility. To include but not limited to: Cryogenic process plants, Gas and liquid processing fundamentals, Safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems, engine and electric motor driven reciprocating compression, pumps, Electrical and automation systems related to Gas Plant control and operations. PLC, DCS and SCADA system experience preferred.
- Ensure compliance with company policies related to OSHA/PSM, DOT, federal/state environmental regulations and other regulatory requirements. Prepare appropriate documentation.
- Working knowledge of standard construction drawings: P&ID’s, Cause and Effects, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc. preferred.
- Candidate must have excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with engineering, technical peers, vendors, OEM factory support and management.
- Ability to conduct employee performance coaching and to manage personnel.
- Must have strong organization and planning skills, and be flexible and able to manage through change.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as problem solving skills required.
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel required. SAP and Honeywell experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision, direction, and support to a team of operations personnel.
- Lead a team of Operators to satisfy the demands of all Midstream operations
- Execution of startup, shut down and operating procedures for compressors, treating and processing units, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves, and alarms.
- Contribute to site safety performance improvement by holding workers and themselves accountable for safety. This is done via job safety analysis, permit to work, stop work, safety observations, audits, conducting safety meetings, safety training, incident investigation/root cause analysis and job briefs. Promote a safety-first culture and encourage participation by all plant personnel. Participate in emergency response coordination.
- Understand gas piping, facility design and operations.
- Communicates equipment, performance, operational issues, and environmental problems to supervisor.
- Supply guidance, support, and compliance for Process Safety Management with an understanding of OSHA 1910.119.
- Ensure adherence of employee safe work practices and LDAR compliance for environmental operating permit requirements.
- Must maintain facility budgets and control costs for facility, review and approve invoices.
- Ensure the coordination of the work to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, optimize production, and avoid safety and environmental risks.
- Keep all related equipment in efficient operating condition, maintain equipment maintenance schedules and monitor downtime.
- Work closely with PSM Coordinator. Initiate MOC’s, participate in facility audits, action item completion and documentation. Write procedures and coordinate Turn Around activities.
- Ensure compliance with area specific SPCC requirements.
- Ensure proper execution of safe work practices, procedures, and protection of the environment, including compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Support the facility Mechanical Integrity program.
- Insure all visual Mechanical Integrity checklists required on associated managed equipment are complete and documentation entered into SAP at required time intervals
- Coordinate and communicate with maintenance, engineering, and IOC teams.
- Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals

- Provide support for other supervisory personnel including on call rotation and vacation coverage.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent.
Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Relocation
This position is not eligible for relocation.

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%
Work Schedule
This position is on a 40 hour / week schedule Monday – Friday
This position covers 24-hour operations and must be available for 24/7 on call as assigned.
Candidate must have or be willing to establish a residency within an hour of Aurora, Colorado.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $108,000 - $162,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in the Western Midstream Cash Bonus Program, plus offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.
