Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

E&I Tech: 
This E&I Tech position is located in Western Midstream Partners, LP Southern Region as a member of the Maverick Basin Midstream Operations team.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Install, calibrate, and maintain electronic flow, temperature, and pressure measurement equipment, several platforms of programmable logic controllers (PLC), electrical and mechanical systems and equipment such as motors, pumps, switches, pneumatic controls and end devices, and related input and output devices necessary for plant / gas - oil - water gathering operations
  • Coordinate/perform maintenance duties required to maintain operations and regulatory compliance
  • Read and understand maintenance/operations manuals for equipment specifications parts and procedures to make proper and timely repairs
  • Maintain effective communications, provide ideas, raise concerns, and work with other functions including plant supervision, engineering, plant operations, E&I, other maintenance employees, clerical staff, and contractors
  • Assist the team in the daily economic optimization of operations
  • Coordinate operations with other Delaware Basin personnel as required
  • Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with WES Core Values

  • Ensure job duties are carried out in a safe manner, with due regard for the environment and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations
  • Ensure that accurate timely data is entered and recorded within computer based preventative and predictive maintenance programs, drawings, procedures and schematics
  • Assist and supervise contract operations as required for maintenance and operations
  • Stay abreast of changing technology through training opportunities, contact with suppliers/ representatives of equipment manufacturers and networking with others in the field
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices

 

  Qualifications:

  • Ideally 2+ (Two) years of experience / training on applicable control systems equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems, components, end devices and other electronic equipment and perform repairs and maintenance
  • Experience in the use of computers and a basic knowledge of Word and Excel required
  • Knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and associated safety requirements
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of natural gas engines and compressors is desired
  • Experience in maintenance and operation of gas processing plant equipment including various type pumps, fans, blowers, and filters is desired
  • Delta V DCS system knowledge is desired
  • SCADA Systems knowledge is helpful (Ignition and or Cygnet)

 

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

 

Certifications/Licenses:
Valid US driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required
.

 

Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule
This position is on a 8on/6off schedule and may be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Successful candidate must have residency within an 85 Mile radius of assigned work location at the Carrizo Springs office. WES retains the right to change and set schedules – should future needs require a schedule change.
