Job Summary
The Field Analyst – PRB Operations will provide support to local leadership in the daily gathering system activities including the safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective management of gathering pipeline system supporting compression, dehydration, pigging and other pipeline roles. This position is in the PRB Ops Team in Gillette, WY.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years relevant gas, oil and water gathering system, operation maintenance and construction including: Pigging operations, Hydrate mitigation, Pipeline corrosion control (cathodic protection/chemical mitigation) and Working knowledge of pipeline design standards and construction practices
- 10 years’ experience of demonstrated leadership ability in team environment.
- Project Management experience
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach for performance
- Must have strong leadership/people development skills
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must have strong organization, planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Basic computer skills (Cygnet(Ignition), Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, SAP, WESmaps)
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Process Safety principles
Responsibilities
- Assist the Field Leadership by providing support in the maintenance and operation of pipeline systems.
- Project management oversight of Operations driven projects
- Support Air Team, HSE and other Teams insuring timely completion of projects.
- Ensure proper execution of safe work practices, procedures, and environmental stewardship including compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal regulations.
- Work closely with the foreman, senior foremen, supervisors and superintendent on all aspects of Operations.
- Coordinate field activities including daily work activities and project work.
- Assist with managing employees involved in the operation and maintenance of pipeline systems.
- Ensure communications with the ROC and other teams is consistent and supports WES’s goals.
- Inspect work performed by employees and/or contractors on gathering and transmission pipelines to ensure compliance with company and government standards.
- Ensure the coordination of the work to optimize transportation, minimize downtime, optimize production, and control environmental and safety risks to acceptable levels.
- Acts as liaison between the field personnel and other functional support groups - production, completions, engineering, construction and other operations teams.
- Provide operational input on project design and hazard analysis.
- Assist with budget preparation and control costs.
- Prepare bid documents and maintain costs for all phases of midstream operations such as pipeline operations, facility operations, and chemical and construction projects.
- Work with company databases and programs such as WESMaps, CygNet(Ignition), SAP, etc.
- Provide support for other supervisory personnel including vacation relief.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Relocation
This position will be considered for relocation. Candidate must live within 60 miles of Gillette WY.
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%
Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 5/40 work schedule or 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.
