Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. 

Job Summary
This position is located in Western Midstream’s Rockies Region as a member of the Powder River Basin Midstream Team in Gillette, WY. 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related midstream oil and gas operations
  • Understanding of pipeline principles, operation, and construction
  • Understanding of oil and gas operations, and working knowledge of natural gas process equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding of pipeline mapping
  • Mature, professional and self-initiating individual
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to learn on the job
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Responsibilities

 

  • Oversee construction and pipeline repairs and installation
  • Act as liaison between field personnel and other functional support groups and provide operational input on projects
  • Developing job-specific pipeline isolation procedures or work plans
  • Creation of new MOC’s for field changes & pushing MOC’s to closure
  • Leading the process flow for PSSR prior to new pipeline/facility startup
  • Provide project support for area foreman to include ensuring contractors adhere to WES policy
  • Assist in design reviews and exploration field visits with construction teams to identify new well connection and pipeline connection opportunities.
  • Communicate producer IP flow dates to all connected work groups and coordinate commissioning dates to reflect
  • Communicate with field inspectors for construction completion, ensure all required documentation is present, and operation commissioning is completed prior
  • Ensure projects with production impact are properly scheduled and communicated
  • Coordinate pipeline pigging
  • Provide document control

 

 

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.


Certifications/Licenses
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Relocation
This position is eligible for relocation.

Successful candidate must live within 60 miles of Gillette, Wright, or Douglas, WY.
 

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel (other than daily required travel for duties) required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule

Work schedule will be determined by the area in which the candidate is assigned. 

Must be willing to work a rotating schedule if required which would require 10 hour shifts.  Weekends, callouts and overtime may be required.
