Job Summary:
This position is a member of the Western Midstream’s Engineering & Construction Team in our Gillette, WY (PRB) location. The incumbent will assist OPS and Engineering performing maintenance in facilities/pipelines and executing new or optimization projects in a safe, environmentally sound, and cost-effective manner.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations
- Work with WES Stake holders to develop work plans and to define roles and responsibilities on individual projects
- Develop a team of high-performance individuals meeting the needs of the WES business model and asset demands
- Ensure that all construction tasks required for turnover to operations are completed and documented.
- Participate in all Project Kick Off meetings and PSSR’s for projects
- Monitor spending
- Work closely with the project manager on projects and day to day operational matters as needed
- Attend PEPs, PHAs and Design Reviews to provide input to the Engineering Teams
- Proactively engage contractors to WES expectations
- Review performance with SCM
- Communicate with all stakeholders openly and honestly
- Assist Operations team with management of scheduling of contractors as needed
- Provide stakeholders with construction and production reports as required
- Work with HSE and Regulatory staff
- Develop synergies and shared responsibilities
- Build relationships with extended teams to ensure alignment within WES
- Report any and all spills/drips or safety hazards
- Train others associated with job duties
- Follow all DOT requirements on repairs or construction of DOT regulated pipelines
Qualifications:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required
- The ideal candidate for this position should possess five (5) years’ experience with mechanical construction associated with pipelines and facilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles
- Ability to perform construction tasks
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft office suite)
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required
- Previous leadership experience required
- Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Education:
- High School diploma or GED Required, with a preference for Associates degree, Trade school
or applicable professional certification.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required.
Travel Requirements:
- The percentage of travel required for this position is 10%+.
Work Schedule:
- This position will work a 9-80 work schedule. Monday through Friday, with half days on Friday.
