Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary
This position is in Western Midstream’s Operations team in Kermit, TX.As a Fieldman you will work independently and with other personnel to maintain and operate equipment and processes within our Delaware Basin Midstream.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Communicate effectively in English. Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
  • Knowledge of SWD, Gas, or Oil operations preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Excel) and simple mathematical calculations.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems, familiarity with Cygnet.
  • Good time management, communication, and people skills.
  • Ability to multitask and communicate effectively across cross functional groups.


Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Operate independently or from the Operations Control Center by monitoring field volumes, rates, tank levels, and alarms, directly providing corrective action or providing guidance to other personnel.
  • Inspection of equipment and facility operating conditions, performing maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision.
  • Maintain records for daily reports and corrective actions.
  • Interact with truck drivers to ensure fluid is moved around appropriately and policies around personal protective equipment are adhered to. 
  • Writing and reviewing work permits associated with construction or maintenance in operating areas.
  • Be an active participant our Health Safety and Environmental culture.


Education

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Certifications/Licenses

Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule

This position utilizes a 7 on, 7 schedule that could require working overtime, weekends, and holidays. WES reserves the right to change employees's schedule if operations require it.

Candidate must live within 75 miles of Kermit or Orla, TX.
