Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary
This position is located in Western Midstream’s West Texas Region as a member of the WTX Midstream Field Operations Team in Orla, Texas.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in oil and gas production facilities preferred.
  • Knowledge of SWD operations preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SCADA systems, familiarity with Cygnet.
  • Interact with truck drivers to ensure fluid is moved around appropriately and policies around personal protective equipment are adhered to.
  • A basic understanding of oil and gas operations and working knowledge of natural gas process equipment is considered a significant plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Mature, professional and self-initiating individual who will deliver strong customer appreciation.
  • Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
  • Strong time management and mechanical skills required.
  • Ability to learn on the job.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and enforce all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct dew point testing, maintenance and monitoring of glycol dehydration systems.
  • Execute start up, shut down and operating procedures for compressors, dehydration units, electric motors, fans, pumps, instrumentation, valves and alarms.
  • Perform minor maintenance on compressors, engines, pumps, controls, piping and valves.
  • Compile daily production reports including downtime, abnormal gas volumes, condensation and unaccountable losses.
  • Communicate with operations supervisors, field, plant and maintenance employees, clerical staff, producers, operators, landowners and contractors.
  • Writing and reviewing work permits associated with construction or maintenance in operating areas.
  • Perform or assist in performing construction and pipeline repairs and installation.
  • Perform on-call and call out duties to maintain system integrity, acceptable facility run time and emergency response after regular business hours which may require carrying a communication device.
  • Be an active participant in our Health Safety and Environmental culture.

 

Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.


Certifications/Licenses
Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel (other than daily required travel for duties) required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule

Work schedule will be determined by the area in which the candidate is assigned. 

Must be willing to work a rotating schedule if required, which would require 12-hour shifts. Weekends, callouts, and overtime will also be required.

Successful candidates must live within 75 miles of Orla or Mentone, Texas.
