Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

The I&E Supervisor role provides leadership and direction to the I&E team in the field.  Provide oversight and support to assist the I&E team to maximize runtime, minimize callouts, ensure efficient use of available man hours, and provide good customer service. Ensure WES standards, policies and procedures are available to and followed by the team. This role will have both Field Technicians reporting directly to it and Foremen who will assist in some duties of managing the larger I&E team. This position is in Midland, TX.

 

 Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in industry required. Compression, plant, pipeline, and measurement experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in demonstrated leadership ability in team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, forecasting, accruing, and managing departmental budgets.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing personnel through all phases of their employment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and manage multiple teams simultaneously while leveraging and optimizing resources across various teams.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing standards and procedures for implementation in the team.
  • A working knowledge of gas processing facilities. To include but not limited to cryogenic process plants, gas and liquid processing fundamentals, safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems, engine and electric motor driven compression, pumps, electrical and automation systems related to control and operations of midstream facilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to train and coach for performance.
  • Must have strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Demonstrable computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of production and midstream equipment and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of standard construction drawings: P&ID’s, Cause and Effects, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc.
  • Understanding of SAP accounting and PM program workflow and ability to properly create and close workorders.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and automation systems related to midstream facilities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot control systems, components, end devices, electrical equipment and other electronic equipment and perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to safely work on equipment operated by <600 VAC

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety of work practices, procedures, and protection of the environment, including proper handling of hydrates and hydrocarbons, compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate field activities from daily work activities to project work.
  • Manage Foreman team and direct reports to ensure the coordination of the work to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, optimize production, and avoid safety and environmental risks.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and control costs for multiple facilities, review and approve invoices.
  • Manage HR responsibilities for your direct reports and ensure that your Foreman team does likewise in an efficient manner.
  • Manage scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance, also manage small and large projects.
  • Ensure all visual Mechanical Integrity checklists required on associated managed equipment are complete and documentation entered in SAP at required time intervals.
  • Coordinate and communicate with operations, engineering, and TOC teams.
  • Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals.
  • Respond to call out requests and work irregular hours as needed for maintenance, relief, and emergency situations.
  • Assure proper training for all team members in safely troubleshooting AC power electrical equipment operating at low and medium voltages.
  • Provide support in developing safe work practices, procedures and creating corporate standards.

 

 

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.

 

Certifications/Licenses

Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%

 

Work Schedule

This position is on a 5/40 or 9/80 hour/week schedule.

This position covers 24-hour operations and must be available for 24/7 on call.

 

Candidates must live within 50 miles of Midland, Texas
