Job Summary:

Western Midstream seeks an Air Quality Representative to join the Health, Safety, Environment & Security organization in Longmont, Colorado.  The selected candidate will focus on air quality compliance programs and permitting, primarily supporting Western Midstream operations in Colorado and/or Wyoming.  Typical job duties include air quality permitting, compliance reporting, and creating/ improving compliance-related processes and workflows.  The selected candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of specialized air quality professionals, engineering teams, operations teams, and database/data professionals to drive compliant and efficient operations and growth.

 

Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to twelve (12) years of experience directly relevant to air quality permitting and/or compliance.  Experience with Colorado and/or Wyoming air quality regulations is required.
  • Experience and technical competence with air quality permitting, applicable Federal and state regulations, reporting, and records management.
  • Experience with emission calculations and environmental management systems and databases.
  • Broad knowledge of Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental procedures as they apply to oil and natural gas operations.
  • Technical knowledge of New Source Performance Standards, state regulations applicable to the oil and gas industry, and greenhouse gas emission calculation methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to communicate and process technically complex, interdisciplinary information.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with operations and engineering teams to provide air quality permitting and compliance program support, training, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure the internal communication and training of air quality-related topics
  • Develop and submit permit applications and compliance reports.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies, respond to records requests, and manage audits.
  • Analyze existing and proposed regulations, evaluate potential impact, and develop compliance programs.
  • Direct consultants supporting air quality programs and projects
  • Assist in the development and improvement of air quality-related data workflows using the ACTS database.
  • Autonomously produce results, lead projects, meet goals, and initiate and implement process improvement.

 

Education 

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science or industry-related field. Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience. 
 

License / Certifications 

A valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required. 

 
Travel Requirements The percentage of travel required for this position is 0-15%. 
 
Work Schedule 
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Working hours are nine hours per day Monday through Thursday, and four hours per day on Fridays.

The pay range for this position in Colorado annually is $75,400 - $152,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
