Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary
The PS Coordinator will provide leadership for Process Safety in the Western Midstream (WES) Operations Organization. This includes but not limited to, maintaining the organization of all process safety related information, training operations, maintenance, and I&E personnel in process safety and ensuring that all the elements of the PS program are kept up to date, accurate and available for operational needs and auditing.   

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Process Safety, PSM (Process Safety Management) and / or RMP (Response Management Plan) in an oil & gas upstream, midstream, or petrochemicals environment preferred.
  • Possess strong working knowledge of oil and gas production and processing operations.
  • Position requires the demonstrated ability to understand and effectively communicate WES implementation of OSHA 1910.119 PSM requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to arrange and maintain proper process safety information storage to facilitate access by required personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and implement WES mechanical integrity requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with other teams within WES and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction project workflow processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams and Process Flow Diagrams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Word and Excel are required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance the organization’s process safety culture.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the implementation of PS for organizational team.
  • Arrange / provide PS training for all operations team members.
  • Create and maintain appropriate storage of documents for successful implementation and maintenance of PSM elements and their programs.
  • Support PHA and Audit programs, track action items to completion as required.
  • Assure proper completion of MOC’s, PHA’s, and other PS tasks and documentation of same by Operations, Engineering and Construction Teams.
  • Assure proper creation and maintenance of operational procedures / tasks and mechanical integrity procedures / tasks to comply with PSM program.
  • Assure coordination and completion of all inspections as required by working directly with Maintenance, I&E and Operations.
  • Coordinate and direct contractors when required.
  • Evaluate and take appropriate action based on regular report analysis.
  • Continually self-educate and maintain familiarity with daily operations and hazards through HSE department and other operations within WES.
  • Ensure job duties are carried out in a safe manner, with due regard for the environment and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance and KPI’s align with WES expectations.
  • Accomplish job responsibilities/duties in accordance with WES Core Values.

 

Education
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, science, industry, or health and safety field preferred.

 

Certifications/Licenses
Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 20%.


Work Schedule
This position is on a 5/40 schedule or Monday through Thursday for 9 hours, and Friday for 4 hours.  

 

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $73,300 - $116,100; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, Western Midstream offers a competitive benefits package that emphasizes pay-for-performance compensation, work/life balance, premium health benefits, and a top-tier savings plan.  The Company may, at any time, in its sole discretion, modify or vary from anything stated with regards to benefits, with or without notice.
