Job Summary:
The Measurement Foreman will provide leadership to an assigned team responsible for installation, data assurance, and maintenance of the equipment that measures and records product flows to and from the gathering pipeline systems in addition to check measurement on flows to market pipelines or other outlets such as trucking for all product streams – gas, oil, and water. Ensure all product validation, measurement problems / issues are addressed in a timely fashion to maintain the integrity of measurement accounting for Western Midstream and all of its customers.
This position is located in Western Midstream Delaware Basin as a member of the Midstream Operations Support team with functional reporting out of our Midland or Delaware Field Texas office, as assigned.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant gas, oil, or gathering system operations.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in demonstrated leadership ability in team environment.
- A working knowledge of gas processing facilities. To include but not limited to: cryogenic process plants, gas and liquid processing fundamentals, safe handling of flammable gases, liquids, and high-pressure systems, engine and electric motor driven reciprocating compression, pumps, electrical and automation systems related to control and operations of midstream facilities.
- Demonstrated ability to train and coach for performance.
- Must have strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Demonstrated understanding of the use, monitoring and repair of various meters and totalizing equipment used in measuring the flow of produced water, natural gas and crude oil.
- knowledge of API and AGA standards including but not limited to electrical area classification, flow measurement, sampling and analyzing methods for oil and gas.
- Basic knowledge of GC sampling for measurement settlement tests utilizing portable gas chromatograph (including care and maintenance of portable GC)
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
- Working knowledge of standard construction drawings: P&ID’s, Cause and Effects, Equipment Arrangement, Area Classification, Piping Isometrics, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety of work practices, procedures and protection of the environment, including compliance with all applicable company, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate field activities from daily work activities to project work.
- Ensure the coordination of the work to optimize throughput, minimize downtime, optimize production, and avoid safety and environmental risks Direct the work activities of company and contract personnel on daily measurement tasks.
- Respond to call out requests and work irregular hours as needed for maintenance, relief and emergency situations.
- Monitor daily and monthly gas, oil and water system balances.
- Must develop facility maintenance budgets and control costs for facility, review and approve invoices.
- Manage scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance, also manage small and large projects.
- Ensure all visual Mechanical Integrity checklists required on associated managed equipment are complete and documentation entered into SAP at required time intervals
- Coordinate and communicate with operations, engineering, midstream and IOC teams.
- Maintain effective communication with all other personnel, vendors, and contractors to ensure individual job performance aligns with identified objectives/goals

Education:
- Minimum of HS Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s degree, Trade School or Applicable Professional Certifications are preferred.
Certifications/Licenses:
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Relocation:
- This position may be eligible for domestic relocation.
Travel Requirements:
- The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%
Note: A company vehicle will be provided for on-site use. Employees are responsible for their own transportation to and from work
Work Schedule:
- The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 9 hours and Friday, 4 hours.
- This position covers 24-hour operations and must be available 24/7 on call.
