Job Summary:
This Operations Engineering position will provide Asset surveillance, troubleshooting and optimization support for Western Midstream South Texas field facility assets. This position will work with Operations, HSSE, and Project Engineering to solve operational challenges as well as enhance the value of the asset. Experience in process, hydraulic, and compression modeling software is highly desirable. This position will be based in Midland, TX.
Qualifications:
· Four or more years of applicable engineering experience in the areas of day-to-day operations, design, and construction as it applies to oil gathering and treating facilities, natural gas processing, and saltwater disposal systems
· A working knowledge of industry codes and standards, environmental regulations, and safety regulations is beneficial.
· Strong background in facility operations support, including operational troubleshooting and process optimization is beneficial.
· A working knowledge of process safety management principals and application of various process safety management elements
· Experience with gas compression modelling software preferred.
· Ability to collect, analyze and formulate conclusions / recommendation from various sources of process data.
· Proficiency with standard office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint are required.
· Strong communication and team building skills
Responsibilities:
· Monitor asset performance, identifying opportunities to optimize throughput, product recovery, energy consumption, operating cost, and minimize emissions.
· Maintain an ‘opportunity’ portfolio which lists and prioritizes potential improvement projects.
· Progress prioritized opportunities such that a viable solution is developed, cost estimate developed, and economics are created
· Develop project execution plans for approved projects as part of handover to project execution team
· Provide engineering support to greenfield and brownfield project design, execution, and post appraisals.
· Provide engineering support to Operations, including support of the Process Safety Management Program.
· Assist Operations with diagnosis of operational difficulties, providing recommendations for corrective action.
Education:
Bachelor of Science Degree required: Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience.

Travel Requirements:
The percentage of travel required for this position is on an as needed basis averaging ~25%. This includes travel to the field in South Texas.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. Wednesdays and Fridays are work from home days.
