Job Summary

This position is for an Operations Supervisor in Western Midstream's Delaware Basin area. This position will be based in Midland, TX, and report to the GM of Operations. This position will be in midstream operations, with overall supervision and management of gas processing plant, compression and treating facilities, including planning and execution of safe work practices, with an emphasis on the safety of personnel, protection of the environment, and maximizing throughput while maintaining asset integrity.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in gas gathering, treating, and processing operations with minimum 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Must have strong leadership/people development skills
  • Should have working knowledge of natural gas compression, amine treating, cryogenic gas processing and liquid stabilization.
  • Working knowledge and a demonstrated history of compliance with OSHA PSM requirements.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and supervise all operations functions necessary to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the plant to meet all performance and compliance requirements. Initiate action to improve operating efficiency of the plant facilities.
  • Perform administrative activities necessary for the effective management of the department, including safety, training, selection and development of employees, organization goals and objectives and planning, organizing, integrating, measuring and reporting the work performed within the department.
  • Coordinate staffing to ensure effective personnel coverage for 24 hour plant operations.
  • Effectively communicate with HSSE, commercial development, marketing, engineering, and other corporate support groups as necessary.
  • Work with area management to provide an annual budget for capital and operational expenditures, monitor, and operate within budget guidelines. Explain deviations and update the forecast monthly.
  • Operate within the guidelines of regulatory agencies responsible for the operation of the facilities. (OSHA, DOT, TCEQ, TRRC, etc…)

Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.

 

Certifications/Licenses
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Relocation
This position is not eligible for relocation.

Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%

Work Schedule
This position is on a 40 hour / week schedule 9-hour Monday – Thursday, 4-hour Friday with 24/7 on call rotation.
