Job Summary:
The Operations Supervisor leads field operations for oil, gas, and water assets across Western Midstream's Delaware Basin operations. Reporting to the Field Operations Superintendent, this role leads through its Foremen and field personnel while maintaining strong field presence and personal ownership of area performance. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the safe, reliable, environmentally responsible, and efficient operation of assigned assets, with an emphasis on personnel safety, environmental protection, asset integrity, and maximizing uptime and throughput.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily field operations for assigned oil, gas, and water assets, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop Foremen and field personnel while fostering a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. Monitor operational performance and proactively address safety, reliability, environmental, and compliance risks.
- Coordinate work with maintenance, engineering, automation, the control room, and other cross-functional teams to support operational goals.
- Lead initial response to operational upsets, abnormal conditions, and emergencies; escalate appropriately and provide timely, accurate status to leadership.
- Manage operating expenses within budget while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and control costs.
- Lead continuous improvement by identifying recurring problems and putting practical fixes in place that are adopted and sustained.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in oil and gas or midstream field operations, including a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong leadership and people-development skills, with the ability to lead through foremen while maintaining effective field presence.
- Experience with midstream oil and gas operations, including gathering, compression, pipelines, or water handling.
- Working knowledge of applicable safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate status and escalate issues across multiple levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues concurrently.
- Education:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. A degree in an engineering or technical field is a plus.
Certifications / Licenses:
- Candidate must possess a valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
- Regular outdoor work at operating locations in all weather conditions and across uneven terrain.
- Frequent walking, standing, and climbing of stairs and ladders, including access to elevated structures and confined spaces.
- Ability to lift and carry up to approximately 50 pounds and to respond to field conditions as needed.
- Required use of flame-resistant clothing and personal protective equipment; potential exposure to H2S, hazardous materials, noise, and moving equipment.
Travel:
- Successful candidate must live within a 75-mile radius of the assigned area of operation.
- Travel required for this position is approximately 5–15%.
Relocation:
- This position is eligible for relocation.
Work Schedule:
- 5 & 2 rotation. This is a field-based position that requires participation in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours response to support operational needs
