Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary

This position will be located in Longmont, CO as a member of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) group supporting the Capital Projects Team.  The main responsibility for this position will be to serve as the integral link between WES’s internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management in Oil/Gas industry with Operator, Service or Engineering Company
  • Proven track record of delivering advantageous commercial results across a variety of capital and operating spend categories
  • Strong understanding of  Midstream Facilities and Equipment (Pipe, Valves, Fittings, Compressors, Separators, Launchers and Receivers, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to effectively influence change and return additional value
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal Stakeholders as well as with external suppliers
  • Proven ability to assess, prioritize and respond to urgent situations on a timely basis
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.
  • Working experience with SAP ECC, Ariba, Ariba Invoice, Ariba Contracts, and SAP S4 HANA
  • Market analysis/research skills
  • Ability to multitask/prioritize based on project needs
  • Ability to communicate and influence total cost decision making to key stakeholders
  • Must be adaptable and focused in a rapidly changing environment
  • Basic knowledge of Master Agreements and Contract Administration with ability to negotiate terms and conditions on behalf of the company
  • Strong understanding and ability to be able to execute the RFP Process for services and materials

 

Responsibilities:  

  • Responsible for supporting Capital Projects Spend in Colorado, Wyoming, and Utah
  • Recognize that all efforts must be aligned in support of Capital Project needs as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Create and or contribute to initiatives that result in on-time delivery of facility need dates
  • Present concise solutions to project team leaders on procurement resolutions
  • Exhibit combination of tactical, sourcing, and inventory management skillsets
  • Develop full understanding of market forces and dynamics of onshore equipment and services
  • Manage the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process for all project transactions and monitor accuracy of invoices to contract specifications.
  • Analyze key cost drivers in contracts/purchase orders and monitor
  • Negotiate Commercial Terms of Master Service Agreements

 

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Accounting, Business, Industrial Distribution Engineering or other related areas of study is preferred, MBA a plus.

 

Certifications/Licenses:                                                                   

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred.

 

Travel Requirements:

The percentage of travel required for this position is 10-15%

 

Work Schedule:

This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.

 

The pay range for this position in Colorado annually is $73,300 - $116,100; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
