Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary 

Western Midstream is looking for an Air Quality Data and Compliance Representative to join the (WES) Health, Safety,  and Environmental (HSE) and Security Team.  This position will be based out of The Woodlands, Texas. The position will provide air quality data compliance support for all company operations and report to the Air Quality Data Systems Manager. The role involves partnering with Air Quality and Operations teams to ensure compliance, managing environmental data systems, enhancing ACTS implementation, collaborating with IT on data integration, maintaining EMIS documentation, and supporting HSE meetings.

 

Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of five (5) years of HSE experience along with the qualifications listed below. However, all levels of experience including more advanced levels will be considered.
  • Knowledge and experience in the oil and gas midstream sector.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and regulations as they apply to oil and natural gas operations.
  • Be motivated with the ability to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
  • Knowledge and experience with Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah and federal air quality permitting and compliance requirements. 
  • Experienced in the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS Management Information Systems (EMIS).
  • Experience with Intelex Asset and Compliance Tracking System (ACTS), Intelex V6, AVEVA PI, FlowCal, and SAP is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with air quality, safety, operations, and engineering teams, as well as other technical staff, legal counsel, and regulatory agency personnel. 
  • Ability to work with the air quality, operations, and engineering teams in developing, implementing and training compliance programs based on EMIS databases. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency, with a strong familiarity with SQL, Power Query, Power BI, PowerApps, and Azure DataLake.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the Air Quality and Operations teams to provide air quality compliance support.
  • Assist in the development and management of environmental data management systems.
  • Define needs for the ongoing maintenance and enhancements of WES’s ACTS implementation and other compliance systems.
  • Collaborate with IT and WES data teams to define needs around data synchronization and integrations between ACTS and other WES systems.
  • Help maintain the EMIS documentation current and up-to-date.
  • Assist and provide support with HSE meetings.

 

Education: 

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in Environmental Science, Engineering, Science or industry-related field. Grade and salary will be commensurate with relevant education and experience. 

 

License / Certifications:

A valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required. 

 

Travel Requirements: 

The percentage of travel required for this position is 10-20%. 

 

Work Schedule:

This position follows a hybrid schedule working in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
