We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary

Join Western Midstream in The Woodlands, TX as our Contracts Analyst, where you'll provide support to our legal and commercial teams during the creation, negotiation, execution, and management of commercial contracts.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide contracts analyst support for complex contracts and contract types within broad operational areas
  • Prepare contract documentation, including initial drafts and abstracts, using standard templates and adapts when necessary according to established precedent   
  • Serve as a document retention software super user, assisting allied teams with all aspects of document management
  • Prepare counterparty notifications, using pre-existing forms and/or adapting forms based on precedent
  • Assist with ensuring successful monthly transfer of data to accounting as the first step in producer settlement process
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate data entry and transfer
  • Meet contract deadlines, notification requirements, and other material terms for relevant area of support
  • Prepare reports or gathers data across multiple systems for commercial counterparts as needed with reasonable deadlines
  • Prepare contract information for internal audits

 

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrates WES Core Values
  • Understands contract terms and can identify contract provisions
  • Power user of Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates superior understanding of system applications and can adapt quickly to technology needs 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2 or more years of experience in an oil and gas contracts-specific field
  • Knowledge of OpenText and SAP preferred

 

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 5%.

 

Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.  The position will require Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in The Woodlands office.
