Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado, and the Powder River Basin in Northeast Wyoming. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Southwest Wyoming.

We’re engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, recycling, treating and disposing of produced water for our customers. In our capacity as a natural gas processor, we also buy and sell natural gas, NGLs, and condensate on our behalf and our customers under certain gas processing contracts.

Job Summary:

Responsible for developing scopes of work, programming, function testing and commissioning of equipment, writing operating manuals, systems operations, electrical and controls designs of equipment utilizing AutoCAD as well as MS Office products and PLC/HMI programming software. This will include developing and modifying PLC/HMI code and commissioning equipment; management of pilot plant and client remote networks and data management systems in concert with IT and supplier support teams, review/red lining of P&ID’s, general arrangement drawings, detail mechanical drawings, and controls ladder diagrams.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and assists in the development Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
  • Provides direction of Electrical Engineering Designers on the design and drawing of controls
  • Reviews detail equipment designs as compared to P&IDs and other design documents
  • Consult and coordinate with the process and projects team for projects
  • Acts as a customer liaison to clarify customer needs and expectations
  • Assists in providing technical and functional guidance to other employees
  • Design electrical schematics and panel layouts in both AutoCAD 2D and specific PLC/HMI programming software.  Modify drawings as necessary.
  • Research dimensions and technical information on a variety of parts required in the manufacturing of equipment.
  • Collaborate with various engineers and CAD drafters as required to design electrical controls based on customer specifications.
  • Participate in design improvement discussions with engineering department.
  • Develops and Reviews Bills of Materials (BOMs) per designed project.
  • Develops and Reviews drawings prior to the project being released to the customer & production.
  • Assist with final project close out of all documentation updates, including ensuring manuals and drawings are per as-built designs.
  • Assesses the controls requirements of projects against company capabilities in order to develop quotations for client projects and also to develop contract staffing support plans.
  • Ensures all software licenses are up to date with market requirements and price in special software for specific projects, should these be non-stock software licenses.
  • Manages budgets and schedules of controls sub-projects in conjunction with the project manager
  • Comply with all safety and housekeeping regulations

Qualifications:

  • Must be proficient in the following programs:  MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD, and PLC/HMI programming software such as Siemens Simatic, AB / Rockwell, NI LabView, and other similar software.
  • 10 years of related work experience with at least five years of experience in membrane filtration or similar filtration and separation process controls

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, business, or a related field

Travel Requirements:

  • The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 25%.

Work Schedule

  • This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.

*Typical working conditions for this position include climate-controlled indoor office setting, a manufacturing environment, and outdoors.  The jobholder will occasionally be exposed to extreme weather conditions, dirt and dust, dangerous machinery, mechanical and electrical hazards, and other hazardous conditions.  This position requires the jobholder to lift and carry up to and including 50 pounds.
