Job Summary:
This strategic leadership role is based in The Woodlands, Texas for Western Midstream. The Director of Measurement will lead both office and field-based measurement professionals and set the overall strategic direction for measurement operations. The Measurement Director is accountable to ensure that reported measurement volumes and data are accurate, reliable, regulatory/contract compliant, timely, and that team performance aligns with company goals. Applications include gas gathering, gas processing, oil gathering, water gathering, and water disposal measurement applications.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in measurement, analytics, or related roles
- Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities
- Strong professional demeanor and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage local and remote teams
- Business acumen and effective communication skills
- Understanding of meter skid design and associated equipment
- Ability to handle a wide variety of tasks in a growing and fast-paced environment
- Understanding of measurement data flow streams including SCADA, Measurement Data Management, and task scheduling
- Familiarity with measurement standards from GPA, API, ASTM, and AGA
- Oil and Gas Industry background is required
Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight to monthly and annual data reporting of throughputs
- Lead the field measurement teams and ensure contractual required work is completed on meters
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and business units to establish reliable processes for managing new connects and data availability.
- Manage the measurement operations and G&A budgets.
- Direct compliance with contractual terms and obligations related to measurement language and quality specifications
- Provide customer service to internal and external customers
- Review system balances
- Review regulatory compliance and handle audit inquiries
- Lead and enforce rigorous safety standards in measurement operations, promoting a culture of safety, compliance, and proactive risk management among field personnel
- Develop and exemplify a positive company culture within the measurement team that is consistent with Western Midstream’s Core Values
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree is required
Certification/Licenses:
- A valid driver’s license
Travel Requirements:
- The percentage of travel required for this position is 10 - 30%
Work Schedule:
- This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday will be worked in the office, while Wednesdays and Fridays will be worked from home. To work from home, the candidate must have the ability to remotely access corporate IT systems reliably.
