Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary

This position is located in The Woodlands, TX as a member of Western Midstream’s Operations Health, Safety & Environmental Team. This position is an office-based role and will be responsible for the support and coordination of Health & Safety activities associated with our systems and data management.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Ten (10) + years of Health, Safety & Environmental experience in oil & gas.
  • Demonstrates senior career level full technical competence related to Health, Safety and Environmental issues, procedures, and regulations as they apply Oil and Gas operations (Midstream and/or Exploration & Production).
  • Effective interpersonal skills dealing with personnel at various levels and in a variety of functions.
  • Ability to challenge the organization in a manner that maintains trust and respect.
  • Proficient technical and computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to effectively present complex topics in a concise manner.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Develops and maintains reporting and dashboard connections
  • Supports information and technology interfaces with HSSE teams
  • Knowledgeable and proficient with reporting and analysis tools including Power BI, Excel, Intelex, SAP and databases
  • Partners with asset area management teams to develop HSE trending and reporting tools
  • Provides QA/QC review of HSSE data
  • Supports field teams with use of HSSE IT systems
  • Demonstrates WES Core Values
  • Works effectively with other disciplines and departments
  • Broader knowledge and understanding of environmental or safety and health compliance issues, procedures, and regulations
  • Understanding of technical documentation/analyses and corresponds with regulatory agencies
  • Provides assistance to less experienced employees
  • Takes an active part in team meetings and decisions
  • Demonstrates initiative through interpersonal and leadership skills, bringing team members together to produce results
  • Seeks feedback from management and other involved disciplines in formal and informal verbal and written presentations

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or other related field preferred.

 

Licenses

Valid driver's license with no restriction that would prohibit driving a company vehicle.

 

Travel Requirements

The percentage of travel required for this position is 5-10%.

 

Work Schedule

This position is Mon-Thurs 9 hours/Friday 4 hours work schedule. This position is subject to after hours and on call responsibilities.
