Job Summary:
Western Midstream is seeking a Manager of Investor Relations (IR) to join the finance team located at its headquarters in The Woodlands, TX. This position will report to the Director of IR and assist in developing the company’s narrative and effectively communicate the company’s financial results and strategies. Additionally, this position manages relationships with sell-side analysts and investors, supports executive-level decision making, and communicates concerns of stakeholders to the executive team.
Qualifications:
- This position requires a minimum of 7 years' experience overseeing and working in corporate finance roles
- Investor Relations experience preferred
- 3 -5 years of Oil/Energy industry analytical experience preferred
- Strong financial acumen, including knowledge of the equity and debt securities markets
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of/interest in ESG
- Ability to adapt & simplify messaging for various audiences
- Demonstrated track record of building and fostering relationships both internally and externally
- Strong skills in interpreting and communicating with executives
- Self-directed with the highest standards of accuracy and precision
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint a minimum for consideration
Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate the company’s strategy and financials to external parties
- Assist in developing and executing investor outreach plan and serve as a point of contact between existing and potential investors
- Closely manage relationships with sell-side analysts
- Communicate investor feedback to the executive team and provide management with insights and recommendations for improving communications and strengthening relationships
- Provide advice and feedback to senior management including financial and industry trends and competitor actions
- Create presentations, press releases, and other communication materials for earnings releases, industry events, and presentations to analysts and investors
- Coordinate quarterly earnings calls and other strategic announcements, including quarterly narrative, presentation decks, and Q&A
- Develop and foster relationships across the organization to stay abreast of current events across the Company
- Adhere to regulatory constraints concerning fair disclosure of information
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting (preferred), Finance or Business Administration
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 15%.
Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. The position will rotate weekly between working from home and the office.
