Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. 

Job Summary         

This position is in The Woodlands, TX, and will be a part of the Midstream Operations Team.

Coordinates and manages planning and execution of salt water disposal well activities including new development and maintenance on existing wells.  Supports day-to-day operations by analyzing and troubleshooting performance on existing salt water disposal wells, ensuring compliance with regulations, and protecting the safety of our people and the integrity of our systems.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of twelve (12) years experience in the oil and gas industry with salt water disposal systems experience preferred
  • Minimum of six (6) years experience in well completion design, well operations and injection well maintenance
  • Knowledge and experience with industry standards for well completions design
  • Knowledge and experience with industry standards for completions and workover operations
  • Knowledge and experience with state and federal salt water disposal well regulations
  • Knowledge and experience with well location planning and permitting
  • Working knowledge of drilling engineering and drilling operations  

 

Responsibilities

  • Leads the salt water disposal drilling and completion efforts
  • Assists with salt water disposal well location planning and permitting
  • Maintains general knowledge of salt water disposal well specific permits and compliance
  • Provides initial design engineering, scope, timelines, and cost estimates for the development of new salt water disposal wells and workovers/maintenance on existing wells
  • Creates and manages preventive maintenance programs on the salt water disposal wells
  • Coordinates with planning, operations, project management, construction crews, vendors, etc. to manage the execution on the desired scope of work
  • Recommends and maintains budget/forecast for capital and maintenance projects associated with the salt water disposal wells
  • Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems related to the salt water disposal wells
  • Regularly interacts with field operations leadership and field personnel to analyze operational problems, develop alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions
  • Seeks and identifies opportunities to optimize wells, save costs, improve our operations, and maximize operating performance & value
  • Follows all Company policies and develops and applies appropriate operating and maintenance practices and procedures
  • Acquires knowledge of and complies with requirements for safe and efficient operation of wells/equipment, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
  • Researches new and emerging technology trends and recommends incorporation into Company systems and practices as appropriate
  • Researches and analyzes other salt water disposal well operations in the basin

 

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering.

This position is not eligible for relocation

 

Travel Requirements

Travel will be required up to 25%.

 

Work Schedule      

This position is on a 40 hour/ week hybrid work schedule Monday - Friday
