Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary:

Western Midstream is looking for an energetic, strategic thinking individual to take a very important role in shaping our SAP landscape.  The role of an SAP Enterprise lead at Western Midstream is crucial in ensuring the successful planning, design, and implementation of SAP solutions that drive business value. With the increasing demand for integrated and efficient business systems, this role plays a vital part in shaping the Western Midstream organizations' SAP landscapes and achieving strategic objectives.  The SAP Enterprise lead will work in collaboration with our system integrators and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable and efficient SAP solutions that dri ve business growth and maximize operational effectiveness.

 

Responsibilities:

  • SAP Solution Strategy: Help define the strategic direction of SAP systems and guide the development of an integrated SAP architecture roadmap that aligns with the organization's business goals.
  • Work with our system integrators to ensure a reliable ERP System that is properly maintained.
  • Technology Leadership: Stay abreast of the latest SAP technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact and benefits to the company. Provide recommendations and thought leadership on SAP best practices and emerging technologies.
  • SAP System Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders, system integrator solution architects, and offshore technical teams to design and enhance SAP systems, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, security, and usability. Define SAP modules, components, integration points, and technical standards.
  • Architecture Governance: Work with system integrators to establish and enforce architectural standards, ensuring compliance with industry frameworks, governance policies, and security guidelines. Conduct regular architecture reviews and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors, partners, and external consultants to evaluate and select SAP solutions/products that align with business requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of SAP professionals, both onshore and offshore in providing technical guidance, mentorship, and performance management. Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Project Management: Serve as the SAP subject matter expert in cross-functional projects, collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and developers to ensure successful project execution.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including business leaders, executives, and DT teams, to understand business needs, priorities, and challenges. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as an SAP Enterprise Architect or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP technologies and modules, such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ERP, SAP BW, SAP SCM, SAP Datasphere, SAP Analytics Cloud and emerging SAP Cloud solutions.
  • Expertise in SAP architecture, including understanding of SAP modules, integration methods (ABAP, IDocs, APIs, CPI, BTP etc.), and cloud-based solutions (SAP Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS, etc.).
  • In-depth understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks, and proficiency in architecture tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading SAP implementation projects and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues related to SAP systems.

 

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 10%.

 

Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in an office environment and remotely 9 hours on Wednesday and 4 hours on Friday.
