Job Summary

 

Western Midstream is seeking a SAP Systems Lead to join the IT team located at its headquarters in The Woodlands, TX. Join us as we implement our new enterprise resource planning system. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, energetic lead to ensure we maximize our investment in this technology. 

 

This role is very broad and covers a wide range of disciplines, including Segregation of Duties (SoD) adherence using SAP GRC, governing the processes and systems that have been established to manage SoD rules, policies in compliance with regulatory requirements and defined by Western Midstream leadership, as well as being directly engaged with IT Audits. You will also work closely with our SAP Security team to ensure security requirements and solutions meet compliance objectives. Effective communication will be critical for success, as you engage with many cross functional teams including but not limited to IT support, IT leadership, Finance, Internal Controls and Audit, who can be either locally based or off-shore.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3- 5+ years of experience in SAP and support of Financial IT systems
  • Review and evaluate IT and Process controls in compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
  • Strong knowledge in SAP, SAP Security and best practices solutions for SAP implementations and upgrades.
  • SAP security knowledge should include but is not limited to SAP Authorization Concepts, Roles, Users Administration, SOD conflict resolution, SAP Access Controls, & SAP GRC Suite or other tools to monitor SAP Access.
  • 3+ years of experience with SAP Security and GRC Access Control
  • 2+ years of experience in designing, building, and deploying HANA database security
  • 2+ years of experience in designing and implementing security for SAP reporting and analytics solutions such as SAP Business Objects, SAP Cloud Analytics, and BW/4HANA
  • 3+ years of experience in designing, configuring, and implementing SAP GRC Access Request Analysis (ARA), Access Request Management (ARM), Emergency Access Management (EAM), and Business Role Management (BRM)
  • 3+ years of experience in building and updating Segregation of Duties (SOD) ruleset, configuring ruleset in SAP GRC 10.x/12.0 systems, and performing SOD risk analysis at user and role level
  • Experience in data protection tools and techniques
  • Strong problem-solving skills, be self-directed and capable of working with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers
  • Strong understanding of COSO, COBIT, SOX 302 & 404 requirements
  • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.
  • CISA, CIA, or CPA preferred

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, designing, and implementation of end user security, and/or SAP GRC 10.x/12.0Access Control.
  • Responsible for a coverage over a range of disciplines, including risk evaluation, operational and strategic Information Technology processes, project governance, application implementation, data integrity, cyber security, and accounting/audit.
  • Manage our new SAP GRC environment on S4/Hana, helps us archive our legacy ECC system, implement our new HR/Payroll system, and help define and support the weekly change advisory board for SAP
  • Identify processes and control weaknesses and recommend improvements in areas including program governance, design validation, data management, training, and testing.  
  • Assist business users in setting up a new automated testing tool for SAP. 
  • Active participation in SOX testing of all financially relevant systems, beyond SAP.

 

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, or related field.

 

Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation.

 

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 5%.

 

Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.  The position will rotate weekly between working from home and the office.
