Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary:
The open position is for a Corporate Development Associate working for Western Midstream (WES). WES's mission is to deliver a competitive and sustainable rate of return to shareholders by operating and acquiring midstream resources vital to the world's health and welfare. This position will be located in our The Woodlands, TX office.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate proposed transactions for new or existing midstream assets by creating and maintaining financial models to facilitate internal discussions with senior management
  • Perform business and financial analyses on potential strategic initiatives, including organic growth opportunities, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures
  • Manage execution of transactions, including internal approvals and due diligence efforts
  • Draft presentations and analysis for Western Midstream’s senior management and Board of Directors
  • Create and maintain competitive analysis and benchmarking versus midstream peers
  • Other ad hoc special projects as directed by senior management

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
  • High level of enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Ability to quickly adapt and work within multiple teams
  • Awareness of and demonstration of Western’s Core Values
  • Ability to prepare and present the results of research and analysis, verbally and in writing
  • Strong Microsoft Office usage with an emphasis on Excel is required
  • Prior oil and gas industry experience is preferred
  • Prior investment banking, private equity or management consulting experience is preferred

 

Educational Requirements:

A business, finance or economics undergraduate degree is preferred.

 

Travel Requirements:

The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.

 

Work Schedule:

This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
