Sr Engineering Technologist

Job Summary:
Supports Maintenance & Operations and a variety of other business functions by managing an accurate foundation of WES assets (field locations and equipment) in our core application. Ensures compliance to standards for record creation and maintenance and assists in facilitation of other aspects of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM). Reviews submissions and updates from other business groups and applies data management knowledge/skills to advance quality of existing information with an eye towards accuracy in process and reporting. This position will interface with groups across the organization including Maintenance Scheduling, Engineering, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, HSSE, Process Safety, Spatial Data, Land, and Digital Technology.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains EAM master records in a timely manner to ensure availability for other downstream business functions and accuracy for data integrations
- Provides oversight, direction, and quality review for updates made by other business groups
- Collaborates with other groups to shepherd the overall process of developing new records to ensure adherence to standards and maintain consistency in approach
- Engages other individuals and teams proactively to resolve issues / inconsistencies and to educate the broader business as to standards
- Reviews current data and develops and implements efforts to cleanse / upgrade for better alignment with consistent models
- Takes an active part in team meetings and decisions
- Demonstrates initiative through interpersonal and leadership skills, bringing team members together to produce results
- Works effectively with other disciplines and departments such as those noted above
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in data management / analysis processes and tools preferred
- Prior relevant experience in one or more of the following fields beneficial: Engineering & Construction project planning / execution, equipment / material supply, inventory management.
- Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance module or other Computerized Maintenance Management System applications desirable
- 2+ years of relevant experience in upstream, midstream or downstream O&G industry preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
- Adaptability with a desire to learn new skills
- Self-motivated individual with strong work ethic, personal efficiency and attention to detail
- Willingness to broaden skillset into corollary business functions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required. Undergraduate degree in a science, technology, or industrial field or related experience is preferred.
- 4 or more years of experience
Travel Requirements:
- The percentage of travel required for this position is 0 - 10%.
Work Schedule:
This position follows a hybrid schedule working in office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and working remote Wednesday and Friday. Monday-Thursday are 9 hours and Fridays are 4 hours.
