Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We operate or own equity interests in assets in the Rocky Mountains, North-central Pennsylvania, and Texas, including approximately 16,000 miles of petroleum and natural gas pipelines and over 100 gathering, treating, and processing facilities.

Job Summary: 

Western Midstream is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join the Supply Chain organization located at its headquarters in the The Woodlands, TX. Responsible for overseeing the procurement and sourcing of materials, equipment, and services essential to the operations of the company. SSM will play a key role identifying cost-saving opportunities, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

  

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of experience 

  • Previous work/leadership experience 

  

Responsibilities: 

  • Management of large projects and strategy, which includes accountability for success, process and strategy to support Western Midstream Organization. 

  • Accountable for success and strategies of designated function in alignment with WES policies. 

  • Define Supplier strategy, including management and optimization of suppliers 

  • Finalizes and negotiates terms and conditions of purchase, blanket, and service orders. 

  • Identifies and implements process improvements or technology to increase the effectiveness of established systems. 

  • Monitors budgets for assigned business segments or projects; controls associated costs, and implements programs and requirements to reduce costs as well as increase process effectiveness. 

  • Develops relationships with external vendors and customers. 

  • Provides training and mentoring support to team. 

  • Responsible for operational success, strategic alignment and integration of activities with other major organizational functions. 

  • Assumes responsibility for the successful implementation of plans in a defined area of responsibility with strong business acumen. 

  • Develops strategy, aligned with SCM policy and direction and is fully accountable for the success of the designated function 

  • Makes decisions for large-scale initiatives and projects involving own and possibly related functional areas. 

  • Owns a significant number of measurable functional, operational and strategic goals or priorities.  

  • Applies subject matter knowledge to manage activities in solving most complex business/technical issues within established policies 

  • Acts as an advisor to executive management in influencing the strategic direction of the business. 

  

Education: 
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Sourcing Finance, Business or other related field required. 

  

Certification/Licenses: 

CPSM or CPSD Preferred 

  

Travel Requirements: 
Travel will be required up to 0-25%. 

  

Work Schedule: 
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.  The position will rotate weekly between working from home and the office.
