Western Midstream is a master limited partnership formed to own, develop, acquire, and operate midstream assets. We are engaged in the business of gathering, compressing, treating, processing, and transporting natural gas; gathering, stabilizing, and transporting condensate, natural gas liquids (NGLs), and crude oil; and gathering, transporting, and disposing of produced water for our customers.

Our core assets provide services for customers in the Delaware Basin in West Texas and New Mexico, and the DJ Basin in northeastern Colorado. Additional assets and investments are located in South Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. 

Job Summary:

Western Midstream is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead the technology strategy, operations and innovation across all facets of the organization’s operation.  As a member of the senior leadership team, the CIO ensures alignment of IT initiatives with business objectives, oversees digital transformation, and drives the secure and efficient use of technology to achieve organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with Western Midstream’s goals and business objectives
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of efficiency, innovation and accountability
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's technology applications and infrastructure
  • Ensure the availability, security, and scalability of IT systems and applications to support business operations
  • Manage IT budgets and external vendor relationships including vendor selection and contract negotiation
  • Develop data governance policies and practices to ensure the quality, security, and accessibility of data assets
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity measures to protect company data and systems and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Advise the executive leadership team on emerging technologies and their potential business impact

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in an IT executive leadership role with an oil and gas midstream company
  • Proven experience in ERP systems, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, IT infrastructure and application development and support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High familiarity with emerging technologies

 

Relocation:

  • Relocation may be considered, depending on applicant.

Travel Requirements:

  • The percentage of travel required for this position is 5 - 10%.

Work Schedule

  • This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday. Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday will be worked in the office, while Wednesdays and Fridays will be worked from home. To work from home, the candidate must have the ability to remotely access corporate IT systems reliably.
